i almost thought about giving a good review, until i noticed the first-floor room with a view of a hallway—so thrilling, not! the bed was as hard as a rock and maybe i misunderstood the definition of privacy in a bathroom that's half-covered. i woudl have appreciated some basic compensatory gesture for my troubles. astonishing!

perfect base for exploring cologne's cultural highlights

the hotel was in a fantastic spot, just a short walk from the Wallraf-Richartz Museum and the Cologne Chocolate Museum which made it super easy to embrace the local art and treats during my stay. the location was amazin, right near the waterfront and the ubahn stop! I loved the stocked mini fridge and the coffee maker in the room. the staff were super helpful with directions and even lent us an umbrella when it rained. the wifi was great and the room was really comfy. everything felt new and clean, just perfect for our stay.

the bed was a bit hard for my liking. the air conditioning could've used clearer instructions.
